Two police officers, Bee and Kit, work together to crack down crimes in their neighborhood. Bee has grown up in a slum which makes him understand why some of the lower class people turn into criminals. Therefore, he handles his cases well and he also gives help to Kit who is running into difficulties at times. One day, Bee kills a civilian by accident and is suspended from work. Later, Kit is shot dead on duty by a murderer. Having a tremendous emotional impact on Bee, the two incidents make him feel guilty and insecure. He applies for an extended leave of absence to try to pull himself together again.
